Workday Acquires Stories.bi, a Czech Start-Up Specializing in Augmented Analytics
NOVALIA is happy to announce that its client, Stories s.r.o. was purchased by Workday, a U.S. publicly traded company. Jakub Císař and Bill Finney headed the Czech legal team which partnered with the Silicon Valley based firm, Gunderson Dettmer to provide legal support for Stories stunningly successful acquisition.
Bill Finney, noted, “As a US lawyer working long-term in Prague handling mostly inbound investment, it’s particularly rewarding to support a Czech start-up during its acquisition. I feel that our team of Czech and US lawyers who focus on new technology was just well suited to the task.” Jakub Císař added, “We’ve become very active in providing legal support for Czech entrepreneurs whose business expands abroad. While each deal is different, Stories rapid growth and relatively quick exit represent a new benchmark for this market.”
Stories specializes in augmented analytics, an approach “that leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to automate analysis and deliver insights into what’s happening in a business,” Workday said in a blog post.
Specifically, the software identifies top-line trends and issues from company data and then delivers insights to the business user in an easy to digest, conversational headline. From there, the system suggests drivers behind the headline and what actions to take next.
Novalia is an alliance of Czech and American business lawyers whose focus is the digital future.
