Iva Javorská is a Czech-qualified attorney with nearly twenty years of practice in the areas of M&A transactions and intellectual property. Before joining NOVALIA, Iva has worked with leading Prague law firms. For a number of years she was General Counsel at a leading private equity firm. Iva has assisted Czech and foreign investors in acquisitions and divestments of shares and businesses (including privatizations) and advised technological companies on intellectual property matters.
Besides the core practice in M&A transactions, in the recent years Iva has capitalized on her previous experience in negotiating contracts and settling disputes on copyright and is advising commercial players in Fine Arts. She teaches Art Law at the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague (UMPRUM) and collaborates with the non-profit organisation Fair Art, which intermediates legal assistance to artists and non-profit arts and cultural organizations.
Iva has been praised by clients for her negotiation skills, personal engagement and highly empathic approach.
Iva Javorska has law degrees from the Charles University Law School in Prague and from Université Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris where she completed internships in the legal department of a multinational corporation and in a business law firm.
Besides her native Czech, Iva is fluent in English and French.
